dodger dawkins chalfont was born in the early morning hours on february 24, 1986 in brooklyn, new york a week after her proposed due date which set in motion the basic trend of a distinct lack of punctuality, something that's still a common theme in her life, as she is notoriously late. her father, henry david chalfont, and mother, emma jane (austin) chalfont, are both professors and english scholars, her father at emerson in boston, and her mother at a boston area public high school, where they recently moved given the job opportunities. dodger is the oldest of three; she has two brothers, jacob marley and atticus jeremy, and she comes from a long line of poets, playwrites, and writers. in translation, most of her family are complete nutters, and while dodger herself is moderately talented in the art and attended nyu for two years before quitting in favor of moving back to longport, her passion lies in the art of cosmetology, a profession she hopes to finally pursue once things in her personal life settle down. a quickie marriage, the consequential annullment, an engagement, another break-up, and a bout of mild depression later, dodger's returned from a month long road trip that she took with her best friend, scout carmichal, and is ready to settle down and seek her fortune, wherever and whatever that may be.

• she works at the local movie theatre where she does everything short of actually manage, but she's currently riding out a leave of absence she took in favor of regaining some of her mental health after she realized she had basically become a big ball of depression.
• the only person she loves more than herself is her best friend scout carmichal, who is basically dodger's reason for living these days. the two have been best friends since dodger was one, and if not for that year long gap, they would be almost the exact same age. dodger believes she can even remember scout's mother being pregnant, and their only real bickers have been about movies, music, and occasionally, the celebrity boys they've chosen to crush on, but even then they were all about compromise, often "dividing up" the boybands so each girl had the same amount of boys to like. these days, they're a little better at sharing. except, of course, for adam levine (scout's) and brandon flowers (dodger's). sacred territory, okay?
• eventually she'll go back to school and get her cosmetology license and she would've by now but the timing just seems to never work out the way she wants it to. this year, she hopes. this year.
• she is often verbose and loves the sound of her own voice. as a result, it takes her forever to finally make her point. she loves words.
• things she loves: books, harry potter, scout, fairy tales, romances, mermaids, fantasy, movies (especially horror), music, barack obama, boys, girls, zombies.
• things she hates: complainers, rudeness, bad parenting, scrubs, fringe (especially on boots, ugh), tomatoes, twilight, shopping, having to waste money on stupid things (she's a real tightwad).
• eventually, she wants to move back to the city, but in the meantime, she genuinely loves longport and doesn't mind her living here, now that she's back with a fresh attitude and outlook on life.
• her lifelong dream is to someday open her own salon. and have lots of babies. and have wild, untamed, mormon sex with brandon flowers.
